We took our second vacation to the beach this spring. Last year, we visited San Diego and Coranado Beach. This year, we enjoyed Carlsbad, CA and had a good time. This was a combined family vacation and a celebration of our fifteenth wedding anniversary. We spent our days being beach bums and playing in the sand and ocean everyday. We were in a condo right accross from the beach, so it was great. When we got hungry for lunch, we could just go back and fix it. Because we were in a condo that had a DVD player, we were able to have movie nights. We checked out "The Little House on the Prairie" series from the library. Our kids had never seen these shows and just loved them! We were staying right across the street from our favorite seafood restaurant. We went to the grocery store, and we let the kids pick out their favorite TV dinners. This was also new, and they loved it. They enjoyed their dinners and we enjoyed fish and shrimp each night. The dinners that came with a brownie won! Although we are still in a transition of becoming a happy family and overcoming some of our big challenges, this year's vacation went much better than last year's vacation did. We are trying very hard to teach our kids respect, cooperation, and responsibility. When we have these three, we can do a lot of fun things and make good memories as a happy family. We hope they are learning and seeing that with every new thing we do together as a family.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after the orphans and the widows in their distress. James 1:27
