Angie and Ingrid had their first dance recital and loved it! The girls started taking ballet lessons in May and made so much progress. They are taking dance from an individual lady who only specializes in ballet. A lot of friends from our church dance with her, and she has been a great influence on our girls. They gained a lot of self-confidence in themselves and really rose to the teacher's expectations. They performed two dances by Christan artists. The names of the songs are called "Life is Beautiful" by The Afters and "Bloom" by Moriah Peters. They practiced both songs a lot, and we are very proud of their accomplishments.
Due to behavioral challenges, we decided a consequence to Ingrid that would make a difference was to take away her dance lessons until January. So, Angie is dancing alone this Fall and continues to learn a lot. She is preparing to perform the musical "Nutcracker" in December. It is hard as parents to watch Ingrid sit out and miss this performance but hope it will make her think before she acts next time. We now understand how some consequences are as difficult on the parents as the child!
