Lori recently celebrated her 40th birthday, and it was a very nice one. Dainis and I decided to take a mini vacation for the weekend. We went to a place called Sierra Vista, AZ. It is near the Mexico border. We enjoyed the mountains and lots of hiking. Our kids didn't believe I could hike but with Dainis's help, we had a great time. We came back on my birthday to celebrate with my Mom, Dad, and the kids. After presents, we went to a restaurant in a zoo near our house. The kids could watch all of the fish and sharks while they ate, which is part of the aquarium at the zoo. My celebration ended later that week when I had a chance to have a Girl's Night Out dinner with about 12 girlfriends. Everyone is so busy with kids and activities that we don't have the chance to get together as often as we would like to. Now that we have kids, I completely understand!
