School's Out for the Summer

After homeschooling the kids the first year they were home, they attended a charter school this year, called Crown Charter School.  They just finished their last day of school, and they all received awards for the special accomplishments they have had this school year.    Here are pictures of the kid's with their teachers.

Although the kids will miss their classmates, we are all excited to sleep in and have more relaxing days.  We plan to start doing some homeschooling throughout the summer, since the kids are still behind.  They have been accepted into a new charter school next year called Odyssey Preporatory Academy.  It is a great school, and we are all very excited for the opportunity our kids will have to study there.  It is a rigurous curriculum, and we know our kids will learn alot.  The schhol's four main values are Focusing Globally, Navigating Knowlege, Creating Character, and Launching Leaders.  The kids will go from 7:15 - 4:15 Monday through Thursday, so the days will be long and challenging.  However, we will have each Friday off.  Kids are accepted into the school by a lottery, so we feel very blessed that our kids will have this special opportunity!
