It is amazing how different holidays are this year now that the kids are in school! Last year was the first year the kids had ever heard of Valentine's Day. They wrote Valentine's Day cards to each other. This year, they made Valentine's cards for each child in the class. They decorated a shoe box with all sorts of heart craft material, and came home with lots of Valentine's. Of course, the best part was the class party! We also had a party with the church's homeschool group. Although we are no longer homeschooling this year, we have kept in touch with the families. It was neat because they also exchanged Valentine's cards. However, each card had a Bible verse referencing love. We look forward to doing more things with the homeschool group this summer.
